چکیده

Assume that m, n and s are integers with m ≥ 2, n ≥ 4, 0 ≤ s < n and s is of the same parity of m. The generalized honeycomb tori GHT(m, n, s) have been recognized as an attractive architecture to existing torus interconnection networks in parallel and distributed applications. A bipartite graphG is bipancyclic if it contains a cycle of every even length from 4 to |V (G)| inclusive. G is vertex-bipancyclic if for any vertex v ∈ V (G), there exists a cycle of every even length from4 to |V (G)| that passes v. A bipartite graphG is called k-vertex-bipancyclic if every vertex lies on a cycle of every even length from k to |V (G)|. In this article, we prove that GHT(m, n, s) is 6-bipancyclic, and is bipancyclic for some special cases. Since GHT(m, n, s) is vertex-transitive, the result implies that any vertex of GHT(m, n, s) lies on a cycle of length l, where l ≥ 6 and is even. Besides, GHT(m, n, s) is vertex-bipancyclic in some special cases. The result is optimal in the sense that the absence of cycles of certain lengths on some GHT(m, n, s)’s is inevitable due to their hexagonal structure. © 2008 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

Honeycomb Networks: Topological Properties and Communication Algorithms

The honeycomb mesh, based on hexagonal plane tessellation, is considered as a multiprocessor interconnection network. A honeycomb mesh network with n nodes has degree 3 and diameter a 1.63 n 1, which is 25 percent smaller degree and 18.5 percent smaller diameter than the mesh-connected computer with approximately the same number of nodes. Vertex and edge symmetric honeycomb torus network is obt...

Characterization and Generalization of Honeycomb and Diamond Networks

Honeycomb (2D) and diamond (3D) networks constitute alternatives to mesh and torus architectures for paraUel processing. When wraparound links are zncluded in honeycomb and diamond networks, the resulting structures can be viewed as having been derived via a systematic pruning scheme applied to 2D and 3D tori. respectively. Link removal. which is performed along a diagonal pruning direction, pr...

Pancyclicity and bipancyclicity of conditional faulty folded hypercubes

A graph is said to be pancyclic if it contains cycles of every length from its girth to its order inclusive; and a bipartite graph is said to be bipancyclic if it contains cycles of every even length from its girth to its order. The pancyclicity or the bipancyclicity of a given network is an important factor in determining whether the network’s topology can simulate rings of various lengths. An...

Deflection and Free Vibration of Sandwich Panel with Honeycomb Core on Winkler Elastic Foundation

In this paper deflection and free vibration of sandwich panel is studied. The core of Sandwich panels is made of hexagonal honeycomb and faces are made of two different materials of Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic and K-aryl/epoxy covering. The governing equations are deduced from the First order Sheer Deformation Theory (FSDT) and they are solved using Generalized Differential Quadrature Metho...

Omega Polynomial in Polybenzene Multi Tori

The polybenzene units BTX 48, X=A (armchair) and X=Z (zig-zag) dimerize forming “eclipsed” isomers, the oligomers of which form structures of five-fold symmetry, called multi-tori. Multi-tori can be designed by appropriate map operations. The genus of multi-tori was calculated from the number of tetrapodal units they consist. A description, in terms of Omega polynomial, of the two linearly peri...
